A municipal council has begun livestreaming its public meetings, allowing residents to follow debates and votes online rather than attending in person.
Residents can submit written questions up to two days before each session, and the council chair reads a selection aloud during the meeting.
"Attendance was always the same fifteen people," said Dalia, who works in the council's communications office. "The first stream had several hundred viewers."
Recordings are posted online after each meeting, along with the agenda and a short summary of decisions.
The council says it will review the format after six months.
