A small independent theatre company has begun touring a new play about coastal fishing families, performing in community halls and school auditoriums.
The script draws on months of interviews with fishermen and their families about changing catches, rising costs and the children who chose not to follow them to sea.
"We wanted a play you could stage with a chair, a net and a lamp," said Sami, the director. "That way it can go anywhere."
Each performance is followed by a short discussion with the cast.
The company plans to publish the interviews alongside the script next year.
